National Anthem
Posted 09/25/2016 12:34PM

Dear Parents,

As many of you are aware, AIS West (Egyptian requirement) have begun the practice of saying the pledge to the flag and singing the Egyptian national anthem in the morning before classes begin. We are happy to do this as well but we need students to be on time. The anthem singing begins every morning at 7:55, which is effectively the start of the school day. All students are expected to be at school by then, so that they can participate in this important part of the school day. We also give important school announcements at this time.

In order to insure that students arrive on-time, we will begin closing the gate between the school and Greens Compound at 7:55, beginning on Monday, 3 October. If your children use the Greens gate to enter school, please be sure they are able to come through that gate by 7:55; if they are not, they will have to go around to the school's main gate to enter campus, where they will be directed to the appropriate office as they will be considered tardy to school. There will be no other entry gate that they can use.

Thank you.
