AIS Egypt Raises EGP 470,000 for Gaza Aid in collaboration with ERC

AIS Egypt organized a week-long donation campaign for the aid of Gaza in collaboration with the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC). Our families, students and teachers at both campuses generously donated to the ERC to help support those impacted by the incidents and severe circumstances in Palestine. The week-long drive culminated with the donation of a truckload of clothes, which was a coordinated effort by many of our students and parents.  The total amount of direct donations raised was EGP 472,333, in addition to nearly 2.5 tons of in-kind contributions comprising items such as clothing, canned food, baby food and more.

AIS Egypt also observed a moment of silence during the school’s morning assembly lines in support of Gaza, expressing our compassion and empathy with those who were affected by the current situation.

Students and staff wrote notes of encouragement and support on the donation bags. We are so proud of our students and community, who have shown compassion and understanding in such a difficult time. Together, we are making the world a better place.

AIS Students' Climate Change Initiatives at COP28 Gain Recognition from Dr. Rania Almashaat, Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation
COP

Four exceptional AIS Egypt students (From Main and West campuses) had a remarkable opportunity to attend COP28 in Dubai! They met with influential leaders and had the honor of exchanging ideas with fellow students from around the world, emphasizing the critical role of education in combating climate change.

AIS students’ remarkable initiatives to combat climate change in Egypt caught the attention of H.E. Dr. Rania Al Mashat , Minister of International Cooperation, during COP28 in Dubai, and she extended an invitation to our four students to attend the 23rd Annual Report launch on “Platforms for Policy and Practice” - a true testament to their impactful work.

These events afforded them the opportunity to become more immersed in COP28 proceedings and aware of the critical role politicians play in developing an appropriate governmental response to climate change.
