The IB Diploma Programme®
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme® at AIS - West
The Diploma Program is a challenging two-year curriculum leading to final examinations at the end of the course and a qualification that is welcomed by leading universities around the world. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at AIS - West is for students who are in their final two years of school. We have an inclusive policy for our IB Diploma Program, which means we encourage all Grades 11 and 12 students to actively work towards the full IB Diploma or IB Courses as a class cohort.
A student who completes the full Diploma award takes six academic subjects, three at the Higher Level and three at the Standard Level. At a minimum, their choice must include two languages, a humanities, a mathematics and a science course. In addition, there are three further components to complete; these are Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and community service work towards the Creativity, Action, and Service learning outcomes.
AIS - West Campus is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (www.ibo.org/diploma) to offer the full Diploma Program. Our experienced and qualified IB team is looking forward to an exciting and challenging academic year with you at AIS - West!
