Bring Your Own Device Program
Resource
Dear parents and students,
AIS - West is pleased to continue the successful Bring Your Own Device program in the Middle School in the 2021-2022 school year. Students and their families are asked to purchase an iPad to use as a daily learning tool in the Middle School.
The Middle School Bring Your Own Device program has impacted student learning in numerous areas, including access to and delivery of material, the submission of work, teacher feedback, the development of organizational skills, and the cultivation of essential 21st century technological skills.
iPads are used to allow students to connect to the AIS - West G Suite, school email, and other AIS educational resources. Students are expected to have their fully charged device in school with them every day.
All students are required to download the apps listed below:
Chrome
GarageBand
Google Classroom
Google Calendar
Google Docs
Google Sheets
Google Slides
Google Drive
IXL
iMovie
NWEA Secure Lockdown Browser
PowerSchool
We highly recommend setting up a separate iTunes account that limits student ability to spend freely. Apple has created a method for you to manage your child’s Apple ID.
