Welcome Letters

Secondary School Principal's Welcome

Dear AIS - West Students and Parents,

Wow, time flies. I am now in my 11th year in Egypt and my 3rd at The American International School in Egypt - West. I am as excited now as was when I first arrived. During the summer months, the AIS West admin team have been working tirelessly to get school ready for the 2020/21 academic year.

It is with pleasure that I welcome you to our new year. Our school focus is on helping students reach their full academic potential, developing a moral character, and acquiring social confidence, and responsibility. I am especially motivated to sustain the positive culture of kindness within our building.

In recent times we have been exposed to significant challenges in our lives. I have been blown away by how well our students adjusted to these changes and their maturity with acknowledging the importance of innovation and adaptation to continue to be successful.

I trust that reading our website will give you an insight into The American International School in Egypt - West. The school endeavors to address the real educational needs of students rather than what is fashionable or fleeting. In this, students are catered for in a balanced and varied program designed to suit student’s needs and interests.

Our partnership with our families and community is an integral part of the success of AIS West. We encourage you to become involved. Your feedback and support are essential to our continued improvement. I am excited about the partnerships we will build this school year.

I would like to thank the AIS - West families for continuing to make myself and my family feel very welcome in Egypt. Egypt is now my home and joining this school and opting to live here was the best decision we have ever made. Together we can make this the greatest year ever at AIS West. Now let’s make it happen.

High School Vice Principal's Welcome

Dear AIS - West Family,

I am delighted to begin this new academic year at AIS - West, working with you all! This is my eighth year working with this family in what I call my second home. Monitoring the growth that our students show academically, mentally,  and emotionally, in reaching their full potential, is a feeling of joy. The past year has been quite challenging but our partnership with all stakeholders has proven that we can all adapt and work towards our vision.

At AIS - West we continue to focus on building a positive culture that is based on mutual trust, effective communication, transparency, academic excellence, and developing 21st Century skills that prepare our generations to become responsible and mature citizens of  the world. We believe that our students are the future leaders of change. We will continue to work in partnership with the parents and the community in achieving that goal.

AIS - West is not just a place where learning happens inside the classroom. We encourage our young leaders to extend their learning beyond the classroom walls through exploration, creativity, inquiry and contribution towards the local and international community. By developing the necessary skills, we are confident that the AIS - West students become catalysts of change in making the world a better place.

On behalf of the High School Team, we are all excited to share this learning journey and to celebrate all your achievements.

Let us begin!
