AIS - West is pleased to continue the successful "Digital Learning Environment" (DLE) program in the middle school and adding the forth grade students in the elementary school in the 2020-2021 school year. Students and their families are asked to purchase an iPad Pro, 128 GB (your choice of screen size 9.7 inch or 12.9 inch). This decision will allow our students to continue to be connected to the AIS - West G Suite, school email, and other AIS educational resources. Students are expected to have their devices in school with them every day. This middle school DLE program has impacted student learning in numerous areas, including access to and delivery of material, the submission of work, teacher feedback, the development of organizational skills, and the cultivation of essential 21st century technological skills.

We appreciate your support in helping us deliver an engaging learning experience to our AIS - West students.

Do I need to bring my iPad to school every day?

Yes, the iPad is a required tool for all middle school students.

Preparing to Use Your iPad Daily at School

Charge your iPad each evening so it is fully charged each morning.

Check your school e-mail at least once every school day.

Log in and check the AIS Portal daily for upcoming assignments.

Each student needs to know his/her Apple ID user name and password.

How do I set up an iTunes account for my child?

We highly recommend setting up a separate iTunes account that limits his/her ability to spend freely. Apple has created a method for you to manage your child’s Apple ID. Here is the link to Apple's instructions for creating an Apple ID for your child.
