Once the application form has been completed can parents submit the rest of the documents after the assessment?

All documents listed under the “how to apply” section must be submitted with the application form so that student(s) eligibility for admission can be determined before an assessment date can be given.

How many times is a student allowed to test for admission to AISW?

If a student has not been successful on the first assessment then the Admissions Committee may decide to offer that student another chance to retest with a minimum period of one month between test dates. The maximum number of times a student is allowed to test for the same academic year is twice.

Do American citizens have priority placement and/or do they get any financial discount?

All student applicants are treated equally, irrespective of citizenship. Financial discounts are not offered. Egyptian citizens may pay the equivalent of fees in Egyptian pounds at the prevailing bank rate.

Who are the teachers at AISW?

The teachers employed by AIS Egypt are certified in North America or Canada. Many have post-graduate degrees. The exception is native speakers of French and Arabic who teach language classes.

Is Arabic and Religion taught?

Arabic is taught beginning in Pre-K. Religious studies in G1 and Social Studies in G4. Religious studies and Arabic is compulsory for all Arab students but optional for foreigners.
